The home in which Rory McIlroy lived before going on to become one of the world’s greatest players is now on the market.
McIlroy’s former Holywood, Northern Ireland, home has gone on the market for offers over £239,950 (or about $318,000), according to a listing at propertynews.com. The four-bedroom semi-detached home near Belfast features an artificial outdoor putting green and a garage that has been converted into a swing analysis room (third photo below).

As a small boy, Rory often had a golf club in his hand and had developed a good technique. Compare the living room photo (last photo above) with the video below, in which the 3-year-old shows off his golf swing.
“This was the home he was brought up in,” estate agent John Minnis told The Belfast Telegraph. “If you have seen the pictures of him chipping balls into the washing machine, that was in this house. It’s a great property in a great location and no matter who it was, it will sell.”
